The idea of this open back dress came when I had been fiddling with the crochet triangle that was actually intended for another garment, but simply would not have the proper shape. I was almost near to put it away and then placed over my bust. Hm… Not bad… It covered my bra completely and had the necessary straight shape to underline my waist. It would not be fair to undo the stitches as I’ve spent so much time with this triangle. In a couple of days the open back dress was finished:
It fits snugly around waist, widens towards the bottom and is quite stretchy. Thin elastic band is inserted along the top of the dress to keep the proper shape and cover the bust. The dress features the diagonal pattern in the top and fits bra cup sizes A/B with bust circumference 88-95 cm (34.5-37.5’’). In the photos – bra cup B with bust all around 92 cm (36’’).
I’ve worn the dress with a silicon bra that made a nice C cup with bust all around 95 cm (37.5”). It was still ok but I’m not sure how cup C would look with other bust circumference.
