I was inspired by this Miss June boho skirt:
The original skirt has 4 seams (in the centre of front/back and along the sides), big round motifs were just cut along all seams. Most probably they just took an old table cloth, cut out four pieces and sewed them together without thinking that whole motifs in the centres would look more beautiful than cut like this.
My first thought was to create a layout that would allow me to place whole motifs only. I’ve experimented with different motifs and hat to omit small motifs worked in the original skirt (you see them between rows of big motifs). Small motifs are beautiful, but frankly speaking every small motif should be worked separately and I already had enough thread ends to hide, so I left them out of this crochet project.
So, here is my version of this skirt:
The skirt looks nice with slip and without, you can wear it with tops, jackets or tunics:

Skirt in the photos was made for size M with hips circumference 94-100 cm (37-39.5’’). I have included suggestions on how big should be round motifs for sizes
S with hips circumference 84-90 cm (33-35.5’’) and
L with hips circumference 104-110 cm (41-43.5’’).
Yarn usage is stated for size M.
