How to achieve the gauge specified in the pattern

I get frustrated seeing that many crocheters could not choose suitable yarn – even if I state the yarn weight in American and British systems, state the amount of meters and yards per unit. This info is often disregarded .

So, last week I wrote this article on my blog and posted photos of two crochet jackets having the same stitches in front but made with different yarn to illustrate why choosing the right yarn is very important:

If this article helps somebody, I’d be very happy knowing that my efforts do not go in vain:)

Looking for TESTERS: oversized crochet top with shell motifs

A friend of mine wanted to have a poncho-top for her birthday.
This work is still in progress (need to make second sleeve and fringe in front), but you can already see how it looks like.

Would you love to crochet this poncho-top?

All details are on my website: Oversized crochet top with shell motifs – test of pattern

Looking for TESTERS: crochet tunic with Fingering-weight/4 ply yarn, sizes XS-4XL

In this project I have combined 6 different colours – left overs remaining after finishing this off shoulder tunic, diagonal jacketmy boho tunic with tassels, this tunicthree 50-gr balls of cotton/rayon (I loved the dark blue colour even if the shop had 3 balls only : )) and light blue yarn that was left after completing a very old project made for my husband’s sister 8-9 years ago. She put on some weight since then and gave her present away :).

For other sizes I’d love to find testers to check my calculations. I have created this FB group Conceptcreative TESTING group
